I helped my buddy Paul Vincent shoot for a rad company called love your Melon. They sell hats and T-shirts for every item you buy they give a hat to a kid with cancer. Pretty amazing!
So we borrowed some bikes from Handsome Cycle in Minneapolis and when we returned them this dude was out back hanging out riding around just being cool so I took his picture.
I had a vision for this shoot awhile back and told my friends Matt & Jess, and they loved it so much, so we decided to do it at their house! So thankful for them allowing my vision to come true!
A few people have asked me what apps I use on instagram and I thought it would be cool and helpful to show you what I use.
VSCO CAM: This is my go to app. I love using it because it is what I mainly use on my computer for editing the photos I take with my camera. VSCO CAM gives you the quality of original film photographs. Such as original Kodak and FujiFilm. The cool thing about VSCO CAM is it allows you to edit using various tools such as exposure, contrast, temperature, etc.
Afterlight: Afterlight is such a sweet app that I use a lot in my instagram photos. It has a lot more filters than VSCO CAM which is cool but, I mainly use after light to export my photos for cropping purposes. It allows you to crop the picture exactly how you shot it vs using the 1:1 crop that instagram uses. Which is what I mainly crop my photos now that way you can see the whole image. Also you can add film burns which is a pretty cool feature that I have used for fun. There are a lot that this app offers explore it definitely a good purchase.
Slow Shutter: Anything seems to be possible with the iPhone. Never thought you can use an open shutter affect on a phone but, you can. Cool thing about this app is that you can control the shutter speed or manually open up and close the shutter. Next time you are over a bridge use this to shoot the freeway! Disclaimer you will need to prop your phone up so that you don’t move it or bump it because it will blur your photo.
* Photo #1 Was shot with my iPhone and edited with VSCO CAM.
* Photo #2 Was shot with my iPhone and edited with Afterlight.
* Photo #3 Was shot with my iPhone using the Slow Shutter App.
* Photo #4 was edited with afterlight and cropped using afterlight.
* Photo #5 was edited using VSCO CAM and cropped in VSCO CAM using the 1:1 crop.
I hope this is helpful, I honestly like to take instgram serious because you never know who will look at your photos and allows you to get people to see your work and give you feedback. If you have any questions do ask!

It was so much fun getting to go back to Princeton because it was one of the first projects I had got to work on with capture before coming to work for them. I remember waling by places that I wanted to take pictures of and now I got to! On your way into Princeton you go across this river where they row crew. On our way out the crew team just happened to be rowing so I grabbed my camera and snapped these!
We drove back from Princeton and then headed back into NY. On our way we passed Citi field it was so cool I caught a couple photos as we drove by. We took the subway into manhattan the next day to The World Trade Center memorial. Truly amazing to see. Took 1.5 hours to get there but, worth it. Ty had fallen asleep on the way back.
Worked in Brooklyn yesterday then headed to Manhattan w/ Ty and Collin shooting a piece for Wantful on a speck for Schmidt’ Knives. All photo’s shot with my iPhone using vscocam.
